The reimbursement for child care meals and snacks is based on a two-tiered system determined by the United States Department of Agriculture. All food program sponsors use the same government guidelines to determine your level(s) of reimbursement.
WECA staff will guide you through the tier process when you enroll in the food program.
- You may qualify to claim your own children, 12 and under, if you meet income guidelines.
- If you don't meet income guidelines, you may qualify for higher reimbursement for children in care, based on your location (view these locations here).
- Or you may receive higher rates for children in care if their households are income-eligible, or receive a qualifying service.
